Delhi Red Fort car blast:-

The incident of a 120-car explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi sent shockwaves across the country. The blast last week left 14 people dead and many more injured. While there was initial confusion as to whether it was a simple explosion or an accident, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a detailed investigation. Based on that, it has officially declared the incident a planned suicide attack.

Since the blast site was near the Red Fort-Lal Qila metro station, metro services were completely suspended that day. Security personnel cordoned off the area and conducted searches. The NIA thoroughly examined the wreckage of the car, traces of explosives, and CCTV footage from nearby areas found at the scene.

During the investigation, the authorities have identified a Kashmiri man named Amir Rajit Ali as the mastermind behind the suicide attack. CCTV footage from petrol pumps and roadblocks has also confirmed that Amir Rajit Ali came to Delhi with Umar, the alleged mastermind of the attack, and helped in purchasing the car used in the attack.

In the initial stages of the investigation, it was difficult to identify Omar because he was wearing a mask. However, using facial recognition equipment, it was confirmed that his facial features were the same when compared with old photographs. Following this, complete suspicion was placed on Amir Rajit Ali, who worked with Omar, and he has been arrested.

NIA releases Pakir:-

The NIA said in a statement that "the Red Fort blast was not a suicide attack carried out by an individual; it was a planned act of terrorism. It has been proven with evidence that Amir Rajit Ali was directly involved in activities such as providing financial support for the attack, purchasing cars, and making explosives."

Officials said the attack increased threats against the government and security measures have been tightened in and around Delhi. They also said that searches are ongoing to identify other people who may have helped in the attack, as well as the vehicles and communication devices used by them.
